Notes from the Farm
February 2012
- We are still waiting for 'winter' to hit. Although it's been a great season for getting outside projects complete, with it comes a few concerns. With little snow and not much of a hard freeze taking place, we are starting to worry about insect pressure from the unseasonably warm temps. It is something we will be closely monitoring.
- Grain is being hauled, equipment is being prepped for spring, and our heavy equipment is keeping busy cleaning up debris, overgrown fence rows, and tiling projects.
- We are enjoying the somewhat slower months and taking the opportunity to attend some great conferences, trainings, and farm shows.
